Quality is in my hands; quality is in my heart—A brief account of the 10th “Practice the Rules of Discipleship, Build a Family Culture” event held by all members of Jack Machine Tool’s family.

On the evening of April 29, the company launched a company-wide learning campaign themed “Quality is in My Hands, Quality is in My Heart,” taking as its occasion the improvements made to the machine tool products exhibited at the show and the opening ceremony of Yangming Machinery, as well as the launch of its new product line.

We said that in the future, only two professions will remain: commanders and doctors. At the start of the activity, under the host’s guidance, the eight small families were divided into two teams—Team A and Team B. Each team then elected a commander to lead their team in an “executive PK competition” involving moving chairs: competing on speed and quality. Team A narrowly won by a margin of just 0.4 seconds. Meanwhile, Team B demonstrated remarkable growth through their “centipede walk” exercise. The head of the group provided commentary on the game: “Competition is indeed ruthless. To achieve outstanding overall results, you need teamwork, a relentless race against time, and a keen focus on quality.”

Everyone watched the photos documenting Yangming Machinery—from its establishment to its grand opening. From signing the equipment contract on December 12th to the opening and product rollout on April 28th, in just over four months, under the leadership of our beloved elder Chen Huagui, all family members successfully completed the preparation work, including constructing and decorating the factory building, procuring equipment, and purchasing raw materials. Everyone felt thrilled, inspired, and deeply grateful! Ten family members took to the stage and lifted our elder up high in celebration.

Quality is the foundation; quality is the lifeblood of our enterprise! If our equipment frequently encounters problems during customer use, it could cast doubt on the quality of Jack’s products, potentially causing us to lose customers due to product quality issues—and ultimately jeopardizing the very basis for our company’s long-term, stable growth. Last week, the company held a Quality Kickoff Meeting. Today, representatives from each of the two small teams took to the stage to present and share the results of their discussions on “Improvements to Exhibition Machine Tools.” Executive Vice President Peng Linghui delivered a concluding speech.

Simply relying on the efforts of one individual is not enough to ensure product quality—what’s needed is the joint effort and cooperation of every member of the Jack family. Quality is in my heart, and quality is in my hands. Let all Jack employees, with our own hands and a craftsman’s spirit, create outstanding products, enabling Jack Machine Tools to establish a lasting and thriving brand in the machine tool industry through superior products and uncompromising quality. The head of the family also emphasized particularly that although Yangming Machinery is just getting started, we must never relax our standards for quality; we must remain steadfast in pursuing excellence through quality.

The elder leader delivered a lecture on the opening chapter of “The Great Learning,” offering an in-depth analysis of the company’s actual challenges while drawing upon the “Three Guidelines and Eight Items.” The elder leader pointed out that the “Eight Items” represent a progressive path of self-cultivation: cultivating virtue through examining things, acquiring knowledge through investigating principles—these are external pathways to self-improvement; sincerity and rectitude of heart serve as the internal prerequisites for self-cultivation; and harmonizing one’s family, governing the state, and pacifying the world constitute higher levels of self-realization through self-cultivation. We hope that all members of our family will take self-cultivation as their foundation, instill a strong quality consciousness in their hearts, create outstanding products and services, and work together to build a brilliant future.
