On December 14, the Jiangxi Provincial Association for Science and Technology held the launch ceremony for the 2015 Members’ Day event in Ji'an.
After the ceremony, Luo Ying, Secretary of the Party Group and Executive Vice Chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Association for Science and Technology, along with her delegation, visited Jack Machine Tool Company, accompanied by Xiao Hongbo, Deputy Secretary of the Ji'an Municipal Party Committee, and Zuo Jisheng, Vice Mayor. They paid a heartfelt visit to frontline science and technology workers, extending to them festive greetings and sincere blessings. Hu Xishi, a scientist at Jack Machine Tool, and Wang Yuzhuo, Deputy General Manager and Chairman of the Association for Science and Technology, accompanied the delegation.
Jiangxi Jack Machine Tool Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise under the National Torch Program. The Jack Machine Tool Science and Technology Association was established in July 2015. Currently, it has 15 senior engineers and 20 engineers, and has also appointed academicians, experts receiving special allowances from the State Council, and several industry specialists as consultants. The series of CNC high-speed follow-up grinding machines it produces hold a prominent position in the industry and have reached internationally advanced levels... After arriving at the company, Secretary Luo Ying and her delegation headed straight to the production floor, listening attentively to briefings while meticulously asking detailed questions about the company’s scientific research activities.
Upon learning that the company now boasts collaborative innovation platforms—including an Academician Workstation, a Postdoctoral Research Workstation, a Provincial Engineering and Technology Center, a Provincial Enterprise Technology Center, and the Jiangxi Province Master Craftsman Studio—Secretary Luo Ying expressed high appreciation for the company’s Science and Technology Association. Leveraging the opportunity presented by the company’s undertaking of the sub-project “High-Precision CNC Concave Arc Camshaft Grinding Machine” under the major national science and technology project “Electronically Controlled Common-Rail Diesel Injection System,” the association has formulated a talent recruitment and deployment plan that integrates bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral-level personnel, successfully attracting highly qualified professionals to join the company. The association is committed to cultivating discipline leaders and technological backbones through continuous innovation, and has initially assembled an engineering technology R&D and design team characterized by a strong spirit of innovation, led by influential industry experts, with a well-balanced professional structure, relatively high educational levels, and outstanding capabilities in solving practical problems. This team represents a highly qualified R&D workforce with a reasonably optimized professional and talent structure.
In the “Internet of Things” project workshop, Secretary Luo Ying and her delegation also took great interest in observing the framework system for enhancing digital manufacturing through “Internet Plus” applications. Through smart manufacturing terminals and an internet-based management platform, all elements of the workshop—people, machines, materials, methods, and environment—have been transformed into data, leveraging high technology to drive enterprise management.
At Tan Weiming’s Skill Master Studio in Jiangxi Province, Secretary Luo Ying paid a special visit to and extended her heartfelt greetings to Master Tan Weiming.
It is reported that in 2009, Tan Weiming was introduced to Jiangxi Jack Company as a highly skilled professional, where he took charge of the research and development project on high-speed follow-up grinding assembly technology. Over the years, he has developed more than ten innovative products, including a high-speed hydrostatic and hydrodynamic bearing-integrated electric spindle for grinding machines, a high-speed hydrostatic and hydrodynamic bearing spindle unit for grinding machines, and a hydraulically self-centering support structure. He has also successfully completed over 10 national and provincial-level science and technology projects, reaching internationally advanced standards and replacing imported products. Additionally, he has filed seven patent applications. He spearheaded the establishment of the Tan Weiming Skill Master Workshop in Jiangxi Province, which has been recognized at the provincial level, and is currently preparing to establish a national-level master workshop. Through his efforts, he has made significant contributions to advancing technological progress in the industry and promoting innovation in China’s high-speed follow-up grinding technology. He himself has received numerous honors, including Jiangxi Province Technician, Outstanding Contributor Talent of Ji'an City, Special Allowance Talent of Ji'an City, Highly Skilled Talent of Ji'an City, and one of the “Top Ten Blue-Collar Stars” in Jizhou District.
